Ziden, a self-sovereign identity platform, has joined the Oraichain artificial Intelligence-powered Layer-1 Blockchain ecosystem. This project was part the Oraichain DApps Accelerator Program.
Ziden also shared its roadmap for 2022 and next year. The ID platform will be publicly launched in January 2023.

Oraichain welcomes Ziden
Web3 technologies offer the potential to completely reinvent the internet as we know. That is partly due to the way we identify ourselves.
To verify the Web2 identity solution, copies of passports, driver’s licences, and utility bills had to be sent to a centralized service compliance or verification department. The problem is that the service provider must take care of the files or someone could get them. Users are at risk of identity theft every day because of security breaches.
Ziden, a self-sovereign, on-chain digital identity platform, offers an alternative. Ziden uses zero knowledge proofs to allow users to attest their personal details without the need to provide any documentation to a service provider. Zero-knowledge proofs, a fascinating area of cryptographic research, make privacy-preserving innovations such as zk-SNARKs (the tech behind Zcash), possible.
A recent press release from Ziden states that it has announced its intention to join Oraichain’s AI-powered ecosystem. This will make Ziden the third project to emerge out of Oraichain’s Oraichain For DApps Accelerator Program. Oraichain Labs US, a real-world asset tokenization program, and Orchai, a decentralized lender, are the other two successful projects.
Ziden will be able to benefit from the existing Oraichain ecosystem components. Its decentralized data storage layer and ZK engine are just a few examples. Ziden will also continue to be part of Oraichain Labs’ DApps Accelerator Program and have access to Oraichain Labs’ network of partners, DApps, investors, and other resources.
Oraichain is the industry’s first and only blockchain ecosystem. It uses AI to provide greater compliance and security. The blockchain, which is based on Cosmos & Tendermint, was launched in February 2021. It was then redesigned in its March 2022 release.

Ziden unveils roadmap for launch
Ziden also announced its launch roadmap for 2022 and 2023 as part of the Oraichain announcement. The ID platform plans to release a whitepaper on Oraichain’s testnet and a public demo at some point prior to November.
Ziden will then launch on the Oraichain Pro Subnet in December with Oraichain Labs US. Medium has a detailed article about the product you can expect from this year’s subnet launch. Ziden’s technology allows real-world property transactions on-chain. Ziden’s public launch should be in January next year.
