Mike Novogratz, CEO of Galaxy Digital, has spoken out about Sam Bankman Fried. He said that he was surprised that Sam was still able use illicit funds from clients to hold press conferences. The Galaxy Digital CEO stated:
“Sam Bankman Fried… Certainly did some things with our coins that weren’t legal, and he’s running about the Bahamas giving press conferences to be broadcast on TV. This whole thing is a surprise to me. His day will come, I believe.”
Novogratz claims that the former CEO of FTX also broke his agreement with customers.
“Nobody participated in that exchange signed any contract that Sam could take your coin and run a hedge fund with you, and you know that that’s fraud.”
The FTX bankruptcy court is still in progress. Consumers are still awaiting a path to compensation when Novogratz made his comments. Representatives from FTX claim that these creditors are customers as well and that if they knew, they could seize their clients.
